Cornwater Evergreens Memory Club runs on a Thursday and offers a lively environment where people in the early stages of dementia or the more frail can socialise and have fun. The club offers stimulating activities and reminiscence sessions which help both physical and mental wellbeing. Carers can enjoy a few hours of respite in the knowledge that the members are well cared for in a friendly, safe environment.
The club offers a structured programme of lively activities which stimulate memories and help members orientate themselves with what is happening around them. The activities are designed to reflect the seasons or current events and are fully inclusive and accessible to everyone. Activities help with hand/eye coordination and cognitive skills.
Our members are encouraged to take part in exercises which run at every session and help to improve physical wellbeing.
Refreshments are provided throughout the day and a freshly cooked, nutritionally balanced two course meal is served at lunchtime.
